There are two breeds of hen, the Dekalb White and the Shaver Brown. They have been selected for their health, and for their production of good quality eggs. All our eggs are between 53g and 63g in size.

Dekalb White

This hen is a hybrid, white egg layer. Originally selected from the Light Sussex line, this breed is known for its calm behaviour, good health and productivity, and excellent quality eggs, with good shell strength.

Shaver Brown

This breed is based on the famous Rhode Island Red. This four way cross breed lays large, brown eggs consistently throughout its life.
